RENTON — There will be a 35-second shot clock for high school boys basketball in the state of Washington next season. Athletic directors from around the state voted 42-11 Friday in favor of adding the shot clock for the boys hoops.

BOSTON—Northeastern University has been placed on probation for two years and had its scholarships and recruiting privileges reduced because of violations in its men’s basketball program, the NCAA announced Friday.
